Our Story

Philip Docker and Ernie Porter formed DockPort Ltd to focus on solving the most challenging issues oyster farmers must overcome. Farm efficiency, productivity, product quality, gear security, the physical effort required, staff recruitment, inclusiveness and retention are some of the key issues in play. Philip has a degree in marine biology and over two decades of experience farming oysters. Ernie is a professional engineer with a passion for innovation and sustainability. They combined their skills and experience to develop the BOBR growth system. This mechanized system provides oyster farmers the means to be more productive with less effort.
